Looks like it's going to be something special.  Derek is back with us for our Christmas party.  Don't miss out, if it's your birthday on or around the Pie Hall then let us know in advance.  We do like to recognise that with a cup-cake ....  or growler! -  one of Denby Dales best pies!!!

Thanks to everyone for the interest in the "open decks" sessions this month.

We have something different for our Christmas party though.

We've enlisted Stuart Arber to the ranks and he is rebuilding his collection.  Do not miss out on his set as I know it will be a real cracker.

DJ rota to be posted as soon as I get around to writing it!  :D

A late starter for the Pie Hall with Les Goddard joining the ranks with a 7.30 slot.  Do try and get there early folks as we do have some real stunners getting played tonight - all on OVO.

You know how many times you hear "it's all about the music"?  Well, tonight it really was all about the music on glorious OVO.  The amps weren't even fully warmed up before we were out of the blocks with Barnsley's own Les Goddard playing classic Northern to welcome our Soulies through the door.

After myself and Brian had sneaked in a half hour each, it was time for (no,not our special guest) Stuart Arber to take over the mantle with a sensational set which included Connie Clark, Johnny Caswell et al.  Amazing set Stuart and just as the dance floor thought it may get a break, Derek Greenhoff (dressed as one of Santa's little helpers) took over those 1210's.  We should have known that he would come out with all guns blazing after his set at Wakefield Unity.  He didn't disappoint and provided us with enough Soul to see us right through Christmas!!

As usual myself and Brian finished the night off - plenty of birthdays last night and we manged to present a growler to each and every one who celebrated - we also chose their favourite Pie Hall tracks for them to dance to.  Reg had Educated Fool whilst Billy Backdrop did just that to Johnny My Boy, the others danced to Tobi Legend (of course!).

Thanks each and everyone of you regulars and any newbies who came to see what the fuss was all about.  Have a lovely Christmas everyone and see you next year!
