Hope you have a good night 13yrs is quite a milestone in running a venue a lot of hard work behind the scene to put on a venue so big pat on the back to all promoters here's to many more and continued success with Rugby ktf  Trev and all at (D.B.S.C) Cotgrave Notts

DJ times for the freestyle room, copied and pasted this from David Abbotts post on facebook because (especially for Dave) it's brilliantly funny!

After much deliberation, I have decided to give the other DJs a chance so that I can go and sign autographs and talk nonsense at anyone that i can pin down.
Our DJs are going for a full 55 minutes - an hour is too long to keep their attention and they'll wonder off or play with themselves or start dribbling, or probably all the aforementioned; and 50 minutes is so next door; but also because, as it is Adam's birthday he has a go twice...in the hope he may get it right at the second attempt.
And get there early for Chris the Tricksters warm up spot!!

Chris Harvey warming us up to 9:00
Matt Male 09:00 to 09:55
Killa 09:55 to 10:50
Chris Davies 10:50 to 11:45
Steve C 11:45 to 12:40
Adam Tone Deaf-Monkey Topping 12:40 to 01:35
Stu Mobbs 01:35 to 02:30
Dave Coolio 02:30 to 03:25
Chris Dr Pickles 03:25 to 04:20
Adam Trunky Part 2 04:20 to 05:00

(Times may well change on a whim, and DJs too if any one upsets me.)

For me, the whole funky edged, raw 60's, underplayed scene that I love, started with Middleton, Burnley and a tiny club in Coventry called Move On.

Move On was run by Adam Topping  & Matt Male

I had been moving away from oldies nights and playing my own sound in backrooms for a little while when Johnny Fingers said to me "you need to get yourself to Move On".  He said he had arranged a spot for me and off I went with a box of my sounds.

On a freezing cold Friday I drove from Somerset to Coventry unsure of what I would find.

Move On was like a collective of lost souls and I was greeted with open arms.  We all had similar tastes, there were very few cover ups and we swapped sounds like mad.  We were all looking for something different. To listen to sets where you only knew 2 in 25 records was very exciting.

The scene changed dramatically for us after that. Modern rooms were sidelined for uptempo underplayed sounds which led to nights just for our music and saw the birth of Empty Bottles, That Driving Beat, Ghetto Soul,  Top of The Stairs and Soul Funktion.

Saturday 13th Feb sees a lot of the friends coming back together to play, dance and listen to some very exciting music.

I'll be celebrating a friendship that started on that cold Friday night, trying to carry the decks and speakers down an ice coated set of stairs.

We'll have a laugh but the music will be serious :)

Everyone's invited, see you there.
