Thanks guys by all accounts a great night and the busiest yet, which is worrying as both nights I have been away have been the same, pesky Dopson :g:It could only happen to me! The tribute act is more popular than the original (gutted) . Jokes aside it's testament to the crowd that 'The Snake' can nestle nicely against stuff that in fairness is not widely known and both are appreciated.

Steve it's not a proper Northern Soul night unless you get talc in your speakers, back in the day you usually got a foot put through them as well and 'thee would be glad of it lad'

Thanks again all the best . 'The Original Jem B' ..I have only given it 3 out of five as obviously in truth despite what Len thinks it definitely would have been better if I had been DJing :wicked: ...and here is a picture of me DJing  to prove it

The Attic - A venue where everyone respects each others tastes in Soul music / and the fact we all have different soul histories - It made for a really special atmos about the place. I thoroughly enjoyed playing 'The Snake' / and danced to Gloria Jones - Tainted Love' (along with many rare etc etc etc tunes) All mashed up together in one 'Old Skool' room!

Thanks for supporting this unique Soul venue with such positive attitudes towards our goal of simply enjoying good Soul music! - and to the D.J's for  'sticking to the script' (not always easy that)

All the best,

Len

Thanks so much again everyone who came along and got stuck in, dancing from the off to great choices from guests Andy Horne and Brian Bates, witnessed Len "out-Jemming Jem":D (you need to double book yourself more often Jem!) and always enjoy hearing what Dave Vanner plays....loads of popular classic oldies through the night and a few other things for good measure to see what happens.

Overall I'd have rated the night five stars for what it is but I'm dropping one on account of WAY too much talc down..no need for it up there and bloody stuff gets everywhere :glare: Not like me to moan I know but otherwise brilliant night cheers and I actually like the 12 finish..less is more and all that.
