I had a great time in Liverpool over this weekend , and with the guide that was posted on this venue we not only had a great afternoon at the Sink were they play some good old soul and r&b sounds , we payed a visit to some of the Pubs on the list and had a great meal across the road from the sink , so all in all what a great day , and the next time we go to Liverpool we will go the weekend when the Sink is on .    see you next time Fitzy

Sunday 19th July, another brilliant afternoon of quality sounds at the legendary Sink Soul Club!

The reopening of the Sink Club took place in May and what a fantastic event it was with a great atmosphere, big crowd and top tunes all day.

DJs for July are Stan Evans, Pete Everett, Dennis Haw and Tony Brookes playing a mix of 60s Soul, Rhythm & Blues and Jamaican sounds. The Sink runs from 3 pm--9pm and entry is £5 on the door.

The Sink Soul Club is located in the basement of the Magnet Bar, 45 Hardman Street, Liverpool 1-----hope you can make it!

More great places to eat include the Mowgli at 69 Bold street. I was there on Tuesday with my good friend Phil Saxe and the food was awesome, and I mean that. It's a bit like a Spanish Tapas but with Indian cuisine. HIGHLY recommended!!!

Another great place to eat, before you arrive at the Sink at 3pm of course, is the Lebanese street food restaurant 'Bakchich'. I visited this place a few weeks ago with my eldest lad Michael and we were amazed at how good the food was. I can't wait for my next visit, there's so much choice on the menu.

If you fancy a quick bite to eat without the time usually required for a restaurant meal, try Wok & Go at 64 Bold Street for some brilliant Chinese food in a box, where you can eat in or take away. It's really good, I've lost count of the times I've visited this place in recent months.

Right, see you all there this coming Sunday.

Watch this space for further pre-SINK culinary delights of Liverpool in advance of our mini Allnighter on August 30th. :-)

What a brilliant day at the Sink Soul Club yesterday---packed out, fantastic music and everyone up for a good time!

Considering it was only our second event the word has soon got round about this superb venue, people from far and wide attended and the dance floor remained busy from early on.

Thanks to everyone who attended, we know how busy the soul calendar is these days and your support is really very much appreciated.

Next one over at the Sink is on Bank Holiday Sunday 30th August which is a mini nighter from 8pm--4am. Guests are Manchester legend Clarence and Liverpools own Andy Rowan with residents Stan Evans, Pete Everett, Dennis Haw and Tony Brookes. Hope you can make it.
