SOUL FOR LIFE ROCHDALE CHARITY EVENT on
This event is now over
We are proud to announce Part 2 of the "SOUL FOR LIFE" charity event in aid of the "Springhill Hospice" in Rochdale , Saturday !9th Sept.....
Many people are raising funds to support various charities who are working hard to find a cure and prevention of cancer, so we decided to raise funds for the people who already have it, and depend on the comfort and support of the hospice. On the last event in May we raised £750, this time we are aiming for £1100. Your attendance would be very much appreciated to help us hit this target. If you came to the last one you will be well aware of the quality of venue, dance floor and not to say, the Ukrainian lager :-) The venue is easy to access and has ample parking.
We have a host dj's lined up for you,and as with all the support staff, will be working for free to maximise the takings for the Hospice. The music will be an across the board policy, with the dj's playing their own style. This will include, Northern, Motown and classic 60's & 70's soul, plus anything else anyone decides to play.
With it being an alldayer, wristbands will be issued so as you can come and go at your leisure. Due to the numbers at the last event,It is recommended that you attend early as the venue numbers will be limited. One note to take is that the policy will be "no wristband, no service at the bar". This is due to a few non payers last time, who thought they were clever. They weren't, the just lost their dignity robbing the hospice.
The dj's for the evening will be your hosts, Clive Williams, Ste Andrew and Tony Poff, with the greatly appreciated assistance of
Derek Watmough, Paul Rowan, Shaun Mcphail, Grant Rankin, Lester Wardle, Ged Gibbons, David Hutchinson, Matchy & Stan, with Gillian Peel & Sandra Mcpherson making their debuts on the open decks session :-)
Think you will agree that £5 for 10 hours of soul is good value, so please support us, we'd love to see you and know you have been part of this worthwhile project.
Well that's all from me, thanks very much for taking to time read about our cause, it's appreciated. If you can't make it yourself, please tell anyone who you think may be interested
