SOUL FOR LIFE ROCHDALE EVENT on
This event is now over
we are proud to announce Part 2 of this on going charity event in aid of the "Springhill hospice" in Rochdale on Saturday 19th of September.
Many people are raising funds to support various charities who are working hard to find a prevention and cure for cancer, so we decided to raise funds for the people who are already suffering from the disease and depend on the comfort and support of the hospice. On our last event in May, we raised £750, this time we are aiming for £1100. Your attendance would be very much appreciated to help us hit this target. If you came to the last one, you will be well aware of the quality of the venue, dance floor and not to mention the Ukrainian lager :-) The venue is easy to access from the train station and has ample car parking.
We have a host of dj's lined up for you from different venues around the country, playing you all the best tunes you could wish for with an across the board policy. All the dj's and supporting staff will all be working for free to maximise the takings for the hospice.
With it being an alldayer, wristbands will be issued to allow you to come and go at your leisure. Due to the numbers at the last event, it is advised that you attend early as the venue numbers will be limited. Please note that the policy will be "no wristband, no service at the bar" This is due to a few non payers last time who thought they were clever... they weren't, they just lost their dignity robbing the hospice of some much needed funds.
Your dj's for the event will be your hosts, Clive Williams, Ste Andrew and Tony Poff and our guests:
Derek Watmough, Paul Rowan, Grant Rankin, Lester Wardle, Shaun McPhail, Ged Gibbons, Matchy & Stan, Dave Hutchinson, Kris Sikora and Gillan Peel & Sandra Mcpherson making their debuts on the open decks session :-)
Think you will agree that £5 for 10 hours of soul is good value so please support us. We'd love to see you and know that you've been part of this worthwhile project.
well that's all from me, thanks very much for taking time to read about our cause, it's appreciated. If you can't make it yourself, please tell anyone you think may be interested, as it all helps :-)
p.s. if anyone has any raffle prizes they would like to donate, no matter how big or small, they would be greatly appreciated
