Upfront @ the Horse & Jockey on

This event is now over

rare soul night in the Doncaster town centre 2 mins from railway and bus station.

The venue - Back room in the Horse and Jockey pub, small compact venue with a great dancefloor, fantastic intimate atmosphere, top class equipment & good cheap beer

Music policy - Is no top 500 oldies, all records are on original vinyl from your £5ers to the thousand £ plus rarities

DJ's - Regulars Waggy, Rob Croskell & John Baxter plus monthly guests.

Guests this month  are:JOHN MANSHIP  - The UK's top record dealer DEREK WHITE      - One of South Yorkshire's finest with a wonderful record collection.

Intimate atmosphere, stupendous sound system, cheap beer. This night is getting better and better, if you haven't been, you'll be made very welcome and if you like to hear quality soul and not the same old same old, you'll be in for a treat.

The 4th one in a row for us & everyone has been top notch, different each time but that's just what we want.Take a bow all the dj's we've heard so far, quality, variety & imagination all the way. All genres, all tempos, all eras catered for, what more can you ask for.

Love the venue, small, intimate, not the poshest but I'm from Hull it's five star :D

Once the word gets around more & more it'll a must visit venue..........it is for us already.

As good as the dj's have been Rob,Waggy & Co should take a lot of credit for putting together a night that not only has quality line-ups but for allowing those dj's to express themselves without the fear of having to play safe.

So bring on October.

(think I should get in free next time for writing that.......oh I will because it's free for everyone)

PPS Anyone know what the Harmonics track Waggy played please, did ask him but I've forgotten.........think it might have been Perry & The Harmonics????
