Soul on the Edge

Always enjoy a session at The Moorcock - great venue with loads of soul history.

Thanks for asking John and I to guest dj for you - we really enjoyed playing to an appreciative crowd :)

We will definitely be at the next one as this is one place that has it all for 70's to modern soul lovers!

A full week has passed since the Groovylicious get down , yet it still seems fresh in my mind. Drove up on what seemed like an August summer day [ the sun shines on the righteous ? ]  Got there early to the superb Moorcock inn  with the intention of chilling out with a beer and enjoying the early warm up tunes . Roman however had a different idea . As soon as the first few bars of the Johnny Mathis  80s orchestral soul stepper - simple  boomed from the speakers my chill out ended .The dance floor beckoned. Roman , Lodgy  Jem and John filled the following six or so hours with quality and varied soul music . 60s  x-over to present day tunes  of all tempo's . Just the way I like it. Cant wait for the next one .
