Many thanks to everyone who attended the first Soul Stew last night at The Old Nags Head in Manchester, considering there were at least 7 or 8 different soul nights on in the Greater Manchester area we did really well for the first event, the venue is certainly becoming Soul Central with several different promotions running nights there, 'Taste Of Honey' and 'Different Strokes' are two such promotions who have established top events there, pretty much something on at the venue every week. We had a few gremlins in the works with the mixer before we started and Steve Cato came to the rescue popping in and fixed the problem.

Many thanks to Nige Brown for his DJ services as ever top draw quality all the way from one of the busiest DJ's on the current scene, our next night happens on Saturday March 19th with DJ's Barry Tasker, Mark Bicknell and special guest Mr Dave Evision, admission just £5.00, 8.30pm till 2.00am no admission after 11.30pm, quality 60's Soul, Motown, Northern, R'n'B.

The venue is decked out with some tasty soul related memorabilia throughout, there is a second room which can be used as well for the bigger events so it's a soul friendly venue, owner Sean Brett is a top lad and really loves the music which makes it so much easier to work with someone who has the passion for the music as well, please check out not just Soul Stew but the venue in general well worth a visit if you are in Manchester, good pint too lol

See the complete Soul menu at the venue for the first half of the year.
