I know the flyer above right is probably correct, but the info re door tax and DJ line-up appears to conflict with the info above left.

Replying to Themroc whose comment went into the review. I'm sorry you're not enjoying the 70s stuff Nick. It was Matt's night and I was and am happy with that. I think there's a big split in the direction rare soul is going and there's be some people who aren't happy on some nights. I reckon 80% may have been an exaggeration but I wasn't there, i just saw from what Butch was playing that his set was well balanced. It definitely needs a mix of 60s and 70s and some nights will be more of one than another. If you're unsure of what a DJ's going to play, you can always pm me for my prediction. The next one is Me, Butch, Keith and Al Handscombe so it'll be a lot more 60s based. As Jackie Wilson said "I Don't Want To Lose You" x

Enough said Ady. The 6ts is still the best and most important nite of soul in the world to me and I will never stop going but the reason you have attracted a new younger crowd can only be attributed to the music policy that existed and can't understand why anyone would change a winning formula? Mum always said "Boy your always at the arse end of the mustard " well not this time not without a fight the 100 Club nighter is to precious and rare.

With respect, Nick.

Music policy aside the highpoint for me was the return of Kent records posterboy Paul 'Corky' Corchoran, the last 25 years just havnt been the same !!
