Looks like this one is panning out as a great RnB weekender - with a music policy to suit . Like the sounds of 'light jazz' - inspired !

For anybody who has not been to this excellent RnB weekender run by Simon and Paula you are missing a real musical treat.

You will hear plenty of Traditional R&B that was played at such famous venues as The Hideaway Club Manchester, Colsterworth (Lincs) and No More Doggin (Leics) and The Spa (Derby), MOD sounds from the Sink Club Liverpool and Twisted Wheel Club Manchester, you will also hear a hint of Ska, Reggae, Light Jazz and Big City Soul.

For those who like pure Northern Soul I must say right now that this not a pure Northern Weekender event but you will hear a fair light sprinkling of nice Northern standards with some fine Stafford sounds thrown in hear and there.

Sunday is Laid back time where you will hear some excellent sounds and I must apologise now some tearjerkers as well.

The girls will also be spinning a few sounds with there own twist on this fabulous music.

If you want a break for one or two nights or all weekend and fancy something slightly different with excellent Soul music then give The Skegness Weekender a try you will not be disappointed.

The Dj line up is excellent and they will not disappoint they are friendly as well and if you hear something that you do not know or have not heard before and you want to know what it was just ask.

You might say I am biased but I recommend this nice friendly weekender to you all, why not give it a go, if not wherever you go enjoy yourself.

K.T.F.

Steve

Im sure your gonna blow away the cobwebs and thrill the assembled Skeggy RnB weekenders with your set(s) . Plenty of British Beat , 6ts RnB and a touch of ska/rocksteady - the sound of 'Dekkas Roots Room' !

Sorry we can't be there - catch up at Harrogate on 23rd
