The Empire Allnighter Wigan

Talk about evocative. A massive venue,packed out,brilliant sounds from start to finish. A queue to get in. And it was in Wigan too. Most enjoyable nighter i think i've attended in years. Uplifting to see so many younger people, as always.

Well done bollocks (and Charlotte ).

What an amazing event .It was so great to see so many young faces at a northern event .The music by all the DJ s was fantastic .Some people complained about the queue to get in which most events can only dream of .

Had a great time in the record bar exchanging stories with friends old and new then danced and chatted the night away .I am so looking forward to this becoming part of the Northern soul Calender event of the year .Well done Jordan ,Charlotte and crew

Just got to say a big thumbs up from me for  the first ever nighter at this massive venue. There was bound to be a few teething problems with a undertaking of this size and with appox 800 people in. The queue to get a drink from the bar was scary early on and  i gave up after approx. 15 mins and bought a coke from the snack bar instead.. This next comment is i,m not sure a valid point considering it is a Roller Rink/ Dance venue. But there seemed to be a lack of seating around and about to have a chill and chat, that even goes for the smoking area, plenty of cover but little else. I don't mean to be overly critical of what for me was a fantastic night, spent in great company listening to some fabulous records played by every single DJ on the night. Was great to see so many young soulies really up for having a great night. And a few older one as well. Looking forward to next years nighter already.. Promoters please don't take offence at my criticism, its just my personal opinion.
