East Coast Oldie 3 June 27, 2016 · Edited June 27, 2016 by East Coast Oldie Share this review My first visit to Burscough and I am sure it wont be my last- the venue is ideal for a soul event with a decent sized, even wooden dance floor, plenty of seating and tables and no extortionate bar prices. Great sets played by all the dj's (mainly uptempo rare and underplayed)- wow- what a line up- we were spoilt rotten- . Many thanks to Lisa and Tony for making me welcome and introducing me to people so I didn't feel like a spare part at a wedding and for organising a great event 1 Link to review

Eddiefoster 2,766 June 26, 2016 Share this review We didn't arrive til later on last night so we'd missed a fair chunk of the entertainment - thanks for the telling of Tony LOL. Room was buzzing when we got in and all the DJs did a great job of keeping it going - especially enjoyed Mick Howard and Roger Banks (on form was Roger). Nice to be at an event where it isn't just the same old 50 records - there's always something different at Burscough. Keep up the good work :o) 1 Link to review
Brookesy 310 June 26, 2016 · Edited June 26, 2016 by brookesy Share this review What a brilliant day/evening at Burscough Legion yesterday. Thanks to everyone for their support and to all the guest DJs for playing what can only be described as the best music in the country. Great crowd, superb music and loads of laughs, what more could you ask for? Ted Massey, Carl & Maria Willingham, Steve Thomas, Roger Banks, Mick Howard and Glyn Hanford jointly played a superb mix of sounds which kept the dancefloor busy all day. Numbers were very busy, one of the best attended events we have had at the Legion. We have had a fantastic 9 years at Burscough Legion and this venue seems to get better all the time, roll on the next nine years! Next month we are back to our usual format on Saturday 23rd July with three guest DJs who are Pete Everett, Blunny and Neil "the Gamekeeper" Jones. Hope you can make it, see you there! Link to review
