Thanks for all your kind words on the night. Howard and me did try and have a night that both didn't confict with the 2 well established Northern nights held monthly in Ramsbottom but also present a musical policy that was a bit different.  We wanted and played a set list that was heavily r&b based with plenty of blues including  50's stuff as well as 60's coupled with classic 60's club soul and even some slowies. The venue which I think is fantastic lends itself to this I thought.

Thanks to all the people from Rammy Cricket Club who came along to support us - see you all on Saturday.

Pat the club owner asked us to do another one in May. We are looking at dates that won't conflict so watch this space and facebook for an announcement soon

Totally agree with Bill and Drew's comments, really enjoyable evening. Something different and unexpected. Great company and wonderful music.

Great night of quality music in a quirky venue well suited to the music played. Two dj's who really know their onions, no real dancefloor to speak of though the small carpeted stage in the corner seemed to suffice for those wishing to cut some rug as someone used to say. If you like to listen to something different with a smattering of 60's classic soul , like to be heard in a conversation and want a night off from the dancefloor you can't do better than give the next night a try.

Attended this event last night and had a really enjoyable evening.

Enjoyed the music and even got a couple of requests played.

However, the really great thing was the venue itself!

Small, intimate 'Cavenesque' type bar with a wonderfully atmospheric look and feel (check out the bar's website).

Well worth a visit and the owners Pat and Yvette are really friendly and welcoming.

The next Soul and Blues night is likely to be sometime in May and I would recommend a visit for this and/or for the other music nights the bar is holding.

Regards.

Drew.
