Soulmates Modern Soul

Another good Nite which i think is now in at least its 3rd year, good turn out and the music the best of what there is on offer and the nice collectors bits that come out of the boxes played to keep everyone happy.

It always amazes me and surprises  me each and every time i DJ that there are so many tracks i play that people have not been aware of which i have to say is great in the sense when releases are a bit on the quiet side we can look back over things not played much or in some cases not at all, me being me played a more "Down Beat" set for a change and wasn't worried in the slightest that the floor wasn't heaving but those that did were up there on the dance floor swaying away to the tunes and loving them, i chose to do an early spot ( 9:30 to 10:30 ) and though busy most people were sat mainly chilling with a drink after their journey here and catching up with chums since they last met up which made for a nice laid back atmosphere and judging by comments when i finished my set was pleased to hear that although they were not dancing they were listening and apreciating what they were hearing which was nice. Comments from some people i spoke to said they don't just come for a dance but to socialise as well which goes without saying and that it what our scene is all about, any way happy to say that the last couple of hours or so was business as usual, chatting over for now and some dancing to do, with a very happy crowd leaving with a smile on their faces at the end of the nite before making their journey back home , so job well done until next time.

So a Big Thank you from myself and the team of fabulous record Spinners that made the nite another success, because if you didn't make the effort to be here there would would not be a soul nite to have. Thank You. Rick
