This was a top night with all the DJ's playing quality tunes that hit the spot with the dancers and meant a busy dancefloor all night. Month on month the attendence has been growing with people who enjoy quality oldies but also are open to hear something a little different. Even with the biggest weekender of the year on and plenty of other soulnights locally the Soul Shack was well attended by regulars and new faces. There was a great atmosphere which is a real credit to the work that Terry, Martin and Kath have put in. The warm welcome everybody receives is 2nd to none. The word seems to be spreading and I can see a healthy future ahead which is well deserved. Mark 1 Link to review
Guest March 6, 2016 1 of 1 member say helpful 1 / 1 member Share this review There were so many good things about last night. The big crowd who danced all night and didn't want to go home at the end. Patto doing the first spot, a natural northern soul DJ who I'm sure will be getting bookings at more and more Venues. Andy Powell (and the lovely Mandy) our guest DJ with a great mix of classic and rare soul and Mark Johnson who helped me out on the night and played a brilliant spot including the Ascots ( Another Day) and the Brooks Brothers. All good things, but the real highlight for me was meeting the legendary Torch DJ Alan Day and him asking me to play Duke Browner for his lovely wife Crissy, something I'll never forget. The Soul Shack has gone from strength to strength and is a firm fixture in lots of diaries. Long may it continue ? Link to review

Good to see this place so busy now, thought with Prestatyn being on may have been a bit sparse, but no, still busy, still buzzing, great. Top people, Top music, Top night. Finally a nod to Martin Smith and Kath, the hard work they put in helping Terry out with the Shack as well as the incredible Inner Soul is a very big deal and as a result two great clubs are still around for us all to enjoy 1 Link to review
