I really cannot put into words how amazing the Feburary alldayer was, and fortunately I don't need to, as everyone that attended have done it for me with the excellent reviews and comments they have made. A massive thanks for that. The next alldayer is another milestone in the 'Leeds Central' history, being the 5th reunion Anniversary.Overall it will be then 45 years since the Central first opened it's doors to Northern Soul in 1971,and 5 years since we resurrected the 'Leeds Central Soul Club' and put it back where it rightfully belongs The Number 1 Alldayer in the UK.This event will feature yet another one of the Original 70s/80s 'Leeds Central' DJsIAN DEWHIRST (FRANK)Along with the residents on the day, this promises to be another runaway success. £7 on the door on the day. Well done Steve, another great all-dayer at the Central, never never been disappointed at this event.

Big rap for you Steve in sticking to your promise of playing 'choons' which we've forgotten or as you said some people are reluctant to play as they feel it may tarnish their reputation lol, yet they are the core of the soul music we hear today.

Agreed with you and congratulated Ian for the last two spins, probably never hear them again at a Soul venue but hey ho such is life.

yet another top class afternoon at the central.this was the only place to be today and everyone who was there was up for a cracking day, which was had by all.again there were a lot of soulies who traveled from a some distance to be at the central.great sets played by all the d/js ,nice to see steve digging out those underplayed tunes which we all miss,no politics at this venue thank fully.and of course good to see ian back on home turf and playing some top sounds ,he looked like he had never been away.all in all if you were not there ,well there will be the next one soon ,so dont miss out .great place to be ,and in the company of some great soulies, pleasure to have been there today.

tara for now

It's difficult for me to praise the event as it's me that organises it all, a one man band you might say, and i don't do ego, but believe me, there has never been a bad one in 5 years of Reunions, and every time, people say, "Best ever", and they are right, each one is better than the last one. hard to believe if you were at the last one, but it is a fact.
ALL of the DJs played amazingly, and to the crowd, which is what good DJs do, Ian dewhirst was on top and his professionalism and many years in the business showed, when he took the 'centralites' on a journey through some of the best music ever put on plastic, and finished off with 2 'Out of the blue' stormers, I mean who would have thought that the Four Tops - Walk away Renee, and William Bell and Judy Clay - Private number, would send the packed club into a frenzy, singing the words at the top of their voices? Absolutely Priceless. Another brilliant end, to another Amazing day the the best little Alldayer in the UK.
