Welcome to our second Matlock Bath Soul Night! THE MATLOCK BATH SOUL BASH . . . . Returning Northern Soul to the gem of the Midlands!

For many years Matlock Bath has been linked with bikers of all kinds, and is well renowned for being the only landlocked seaside town in the UK.  It's also the new home of Matlock Bath's first genuine soul night. Here at the Fishpond we have the ideal venue for hosting such an event and we're keen to ensure these nights attract the people that have a passion for Northern Soul.

Our venue, The Fishpond Matlock Bath goes way back to the early 1800's where it was originally the stables for the neighbouring New Bath Hotel. Early bus tours or "Charabancs" used to operate from here to Chatsworth and on to Dovedale. In the early 1920's it was converted to a Hotel and watering hole. Today The Fishpond has undergone a multi million pound investment and features a fantastic bar with Real Ales, good food and live music at its heart.  The Ballroom located upstairs has always been a popular venue for up and coming artists and today features the lovingly restored wooden floor, domed ceiling, and of course a bar (perhaps not the original one!). It has everything for the perfect Northern Soul Night.

We've enlisted some help from local Northern Soul DJ Paul Cater who has already set up some fantastic Soul nights in the region and with a little help from a range of local and national guest DJ's we're sure he'll guarantee you a great night. Guest DJ's will be named in due course.
