It's the Twisted Wheel Clubs Sunday Afternoon Soul Session this Sunday, yes The Club that started it all, with our guest Dj Gordon Toole coming down from The Pacemakers Soul Club in Newton Aycliffe County Durham to join us.

Hope that some of you listened to Richard Searling Soul Show on BBC RADIO MANCHESTER on Friday night 10 till 12 midnight. Richard celebrated the Wheels 51st Anniversary of the opening of 6 Whitworth Street  *The Soul Years* of this Legendary 60s Club!

I'm sure that I will say more about it tomorrow on my Radio Show on fabradiointernational.com live every Wednesday and repeated on Saturday 5pm till 7pm and you can listen again anytime you wish on mixcloud.

See you all on Sunday at the Wheel.

Pete Roberts.

Just thought I would repost this again as Stephan Hunt, the brave Fireman who died on Sat 13th 2013, has just had a street named in his honour:-

On a sadder note-

I know a lot of people will have read and seen on television today the inquests results of the brave Firefighter Stephen Hunt who sadly lost his life fighting a fire at the building which was the new home of the Twisted Wheel Club on Tibb Street in the Northern Quarter MANCHESTER City Centre.

Sadly Stephen lost his life in July 2013 and the week later the Twisted Wheel Club did a Charity Afternoon for Stephens family. I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU again to you all for your Attendance, Time, and Generousity on the day!

We raised £3038.00 pounds in cash for Stephen family on the day, which I took down to the Fire Station the next day, and I know a lot of Wheelers sent Chq's direct to the Fire Station afterwards, with NO publicity.

When I took the cash in a shoe box the Fire Officer couldn't believe it! I said just give me a receipt for the money and we don't want any publicity. I told him that it would not be needed, and we did it for Stephens family, for a brave man who went out to work on that day and sadly he didn't return home.

The Fire Station said that it had been incredibly moved and we are extremely touched by such a heartfelt response by the members of Twisted Wheel Club!

And can I personally thank you all again, and I think it just shows what a good Club we have got and it says so much about the people who attend it .

And not forgetting Carl and Staff at Alter Ego.

Pete Roberts.

Sorry forgot to say the Name of the road in Miles Platting and it's only about a mile from the Wheel.

STEPHEN HUNT STREET

What a fitting tribute to a very Brave Man who sadly went to work and never returned home to his heartbroken family on that day.

THE TWISTED WHEEL CLUB, the name says it all and it's on today!

Beware of imitations.

See you all later in that unique 60's Basement Club.
