SouluoS 12 April 25, 2016 2 of 2 members say helpful 2 / 2 members Share this review A 5* event, magical music, fantastic floor, friendly folk, a chill out room with a bargain bar, making this one of the most atmospheric Northern Soul venues in the city. So if you want a slice of nostalgia, you better hurry, May is the penultimate, after which Inner Soul moves to it's new abode at Staveley. KTF. Soulous. 3 Link to review

Giving the dancers a bit more room to move. A big thanks to Tezza for being our guest and to bring his box of goodies. Everybody said how much they enjoyed what was played by the lads. Onto next month can't wait 5 Link to review
poppy 86 April 24, 2016 3 of 3 members say helpful 3 / 3 members Share this review Great night as always at Inner Soul , good crowd in but room to dance too. Will miss this little venue and its great atmosphere, but looking forward to the new place in July. Am sure the faithful will follow you there, Martin, as there aren't many places nowadays playing the great sounds you hear at Inner Soul, but for now, looking forward to the next two months at The Gas Club ! Guest April 24, 2016 · Edited April 26, 2016 by Guest 2 of 2 members say helpful 2 / 2 members Share this review Last night was just right. Busy but not too packed and room to dance for the lots of dancers that we get in that never come off the floor Thanks to everyone for helping us out by getting in before 10. It's great to get big numbers in but it does start to get too crowded after 100. After all this time it will be really sad to leave the gas club in June but the new place is just a bigger version with a few improvements and big numbers won't be such a problem. We really enjoyed last night and feel blessed by having a a great bunch of resident DJ's, a loyal crowd of dancers and a good mate in Terry Westhead who has a record box loaded with Northern Soul Gems. Two left at the Gas Club with Tom Wheelhouse guesting in May and another good night to look forward to. Link to review
Tezza 708 April 24, 2016 4 of 4 members say helpful 4 / 4 members Share this review Could wax lyrical about last nights Inner Soul but absolutely love the place. The boys did a fabulous job behind the Decks, Dave, Patto, Chris and Martin, as always. Love the atmosphere and the people involved both organising such a fabulous event but above all you guys for turning up Month on Month. Without such an appreciative crowd we would be playing to ourselves but we are fortunate to always have a packed house to share the music with. Had a blast playing some tunes for you last night and will be back again next Month to take up my usual spot in the shadows listening and perhaps taking to the floor occasionally. Will be sad to see the old place go but moving to a fantastic 'new' venue so not all bad news. 2 more Months at The Gas Club so lets go out with a Bang (proverbial one that is !). Inner Soul is dead - Long Live Inner Soul !! Once more, a big thanks you boys for allowing me into your world and love to Kath for keeping out the riff raff and greeting each and everyone of us with a smile XXXX See you next Month 4 Link to review

Thank you Patto for those kind words......Dave & Patto really set the bar high last night right from the off and Martin & Terrence certainly kept the momentum going. (Terry...that sideboard...your back..omg....your knackers!!!). Great crowd in as usual, just the right numbers too and everyone had a ball right up to the final record. The old Gas Club certainly rocked last night, Chris. 4 Link to review

An absolute plesure for me and my DJing partner Dave Brenton to warm things up early doors and to finish the night off. A great friend to Inner Soul Terry Westhead guesting showed us all the real depth of his colection with a top varied set. That Wardrobe record box he manages to carry around is a real treasure chest. Backside kissing is really not my style but for me the sets from Martin Smith and Chris Brooke were total class and worthy of any crowd anywhere last night. Two more to go at the Gas club at this rate its Gonna Get Emotional. 5 Link to review
