Great new venue as Radcliffe had run it's course and wasn't helped with unfortunate timing coinciding with flood and snow on 2015 events.

It's a shame to loose some of the funk edged/upfront jocks from room 2 but Bob and Robbo always played great sets when they were in room 2

Always great to see John Phillips when he's over here and Andy Dyson returning to the main room.

I'm sure it will be a great turnout Bury is far more accessible for most and am looking forward to it.

02:00 - 03:00 - Simon Ingham

Good luck with the venue Chris & Marcelle, unfortunately I cant be there for the first event, but will be up as soon as I possibly can be....BTW how in gods name did you get Shifty...we've lost touch a little in recent years, but love that bloke, I hope he's now sweating like a Royal Marine doing a Maths test getting his playbox in order lol...because expectation will be high for sure....also, I hope this heralds a return to the wheels of steel for a thoroughly nice bloke, DJ & recorder provider.

best Russ

Don't tell me; he beat you to a copy for 2 and sixpence after telling you it was a cr@p arrangement, then played it out and it doubled in value overnight..........

he's always doing that to me

Shiftys playlist (Kenwood Suite)

No official news from the man yet but he has threatened to post a few potential plays - maybe Russ is right and he's sweating like a marine taking a math exam?? Must be a reference to Russ's personal experience ?

I do know that Shifty could put up a real challenge to Robbo as I've seen his triangle picture disc of Ernie by By Benny Hill

.....watch this space

Right, after being ‘racked with guilt’ after saying I don’t really like seeing play lists nowadays because I think a record is for ‘the moment’, and one can’t tell if a night is any good or not by play lists alone (no offence to anyone that does of course, that’s just me), I thought why not? Some people appreciate them / even find them interesting! :D So, here are a few I’d like to share on the night (If ‘fitting’ at 3.00am)

Dream Team - There He Is - Gregory Records

Silky Hargraves - I’ll Keep On Trying - Unissued version

Chubby and The Turnpikes - The Inside Story - Capitol

The Softiques - Two Kinds Of Boys - Sheldon

Sonny Craver - I’m No Fool - Teri De

The Embers - First Time - JCP

Here’s to a good night

All the best,

Len

Len. My brain doesn't fit  my head at 3.30am never mind what records will fit.

Just a quick update with parking information around our new venue.
There is off road free car parking available on Knowsley Street which is down the side of the venue, also across the road on Manchester Street which is pay and display but is free after 6pm Saturday till 8am Sunday. There is secure multi storey car parking under the Premier Inn on Duke Street which is off Knowsley Street and is £4.00 for all night at weekends.
*Parking Warning*
There is also a car park across the road at Bury tram station, but I would advise you stay clear of that as it is for tram customers only and as the trams stop at 12am and start again at 7am then you may be liable for a fine ( you have been warned)

We have been contacted by GMP and we have agreed that there will be NO entrance after 3am, this is to fall in line with the licensing for the rest of Bury Town Centre
look forward to seeing some of you on the 28th

Simon. The last time Bob got giddy was when Mo told him that Robbo was minding the Dog for the weekend.

The third room – On the 28th this room at  Burt Town Hall will become a club within a club; dark walls, dancing lights and a deep driving baseline will invite you to Stomp, Shuffle, Shout and Sing as soulful, jazzy rhythms tempt you to lose yourself and move your body to a different vibe. Soulful House, mixed with Nu Funk, mixed with twisted disco, all mixed with love from DJ’s who’s’ knowledge and soul come deep from the clubs from the North West. Paul Hawkins, Pete Haigh, Tony Cooney, Mark Grice and Baz Maleady, come together with special guests to show the spirit of Bradford Modern Room lives on, the Spirit of Morecambe Modern Room lives on, the Spirit of Lowton Modern Room lives on, the Spirit of the Mecca lives on, BUT this is Somethin' Else!
