And a few from from Robbo - continuing in his theme from May of keeping it lighthearted and FUN:

Benny Hill | Yakety Sax |  Continuum Records (WDJ)

Hilda Baker | She Know's Y'Know | Decca (Rare Issue)

Tommy Cooper | Don't Jump Off The Roof Dad | Palette (Acetate)

Charlie Drake | Mr Custer | Parlophone (British Demo)

Fookin' 'ell thought that Hilda Baker 45 was promo only....Nice One Robbo:thumbup:

So the weekend is coming and all attention turns to the second installment of the resurgent Bury Town Hall All Nighter. A three room affair, which on its first outing hit the spot with the hundreds of soul folk who attended from all over the country.

The main room was glorious, with a stream of light shining onto a packed dancefloor at 7am when the last record was played (reminded me of the Casino). Many folks had been dancing to tune after glorious tune all night long (ask Matt Simpson). This Saturday, my ‘Sensational Soul’ App tells me, will be no different with the likes of Andy Dyson, Mick H, Keith Money, Mark Freeman, Calvin Lee Hughes, Dick Krop, Andy Garside, Nicola Anderson, Matt Sneath and Dominic Hodgkinson spinning the tunes.......Jeez, I just had to read that line up again, it’s soooo good

Upstairs in the Kenwood Suite, Simon Ingham’s boys (Robbo, Bob H, Lenny H, Paul J, and Simon) did themselves proud spinning an eclectic selection of tuneage, with guest of honour, Shifty pulling out all the stops to an appreciative crowd, Mint!  This month sees Simon and his team of soul stalwarts joined by Lancashire’s ‘Grumpy-est’ spinners, Jump'in Joan and Phil Threlfall and one of the scenes most respected DJ’s, Dean Anderson, NOT TO BE MISSED

Was that it? I hear you ask. No, was the answer, there was something else! ‘Something Else’ was exactly that, another dimension added to the Bury mix, a modern room with a difference. Cool Dudes, Funk Bunnies, Soul Shakers mixing with Nighter Divas in a melting pot of hot music, funky vibes, jazzy cuts, soulful house and retro grooves, played over a sound system that punched your chest but at the same time lovingly caressed your ears with aural delight. This Saturday will be no different, except in that original ‘Sarrfend’ Soul Boy, Gavin Page will be North West bound and joining (probably the tallest DJ team ever assembled in one room!) Freestylin DJ TeeCee, Blackpool main man and Soulful@Dance DJ, Pete Haigh, Jazz Funk Supremo Mark Grice and On Hubert Street resident Paul Hawkins, for a night of luscious free flowing modern soul vibes, willing you to stomp, shuffle, shout and sing from 10pm thru to 5am.

Join us, you just might enjoy it!

Must be quite a transformation for a Southerner to go through Len!

Does it happen once you hit the outer edges of Staffordshire? And do you have to pull over to find a telephone kiosk?

Yippee. No more sleeps. Clothes are polished and the shoes are ironed . Just chilling n waiting for guests to arrive  did I really say guests. I meant gets.  if I look like that I have lost the will to live when I get to bury later. Don't worry I will be ok just a little deaf from spending time with Dave and Ali in the confines of a house.
