Double O Soul 30 Posted June 9, 2016 How many times have you seen the same advert for a soul event repeated to you because you have multiple Facebook group memberships and each group sends you the same details? I am conceded when I advertise our events. I have set up a Facebook group called PUDSEY SOUL CLUB and I use that, the regional wide "Yorkshire Events and Chat" group run by Harry Crosby, and "Facebook Northern Soulies" groups. Facebook groups are set up, primarily for the common interest of the group members. Our Facebook group is for our club members to keep in touch, swap ideas and keep up to date with what is happening within the group. I do not advertise our club nights in other soul club Facebook groups. I feel it is rude to do so. If you want to stay in contact with us about our events, then I would recommend you look up and join the PUDSEY SOUL CLUB, and in turn, I will try and limit the amount of noise you get from our pages that has nothing to do with our group. In particular when events are posted to our pages for dates on the same nights as we are holding our events or events that do not have any White Rose Soul involvement. Other local soul clubs have seen the value of following this initiative, sadly one or two others haven't. I hope you seen the logic and sense of this policy and concur. Link to comment

Darnsoul 89 Posted June 11, 2016 Last night was a case of Euro 2016 Vs Northern Soul and sadly the football had an impact. While we might not have been thronging, the tunes were quality all night long. It was nice to relax and chat to old friends and a few new faces. I set up the gear, tuned it up and kicked off the night. 8:00 until 8:45 when Andy Hudson took over. Watch out for a couple of photos later. The Incredibles - There's Nothing Else To Say The Incredibles - Another Dirty Deal Teddy Vann's Orchestra And Choir - Theme Form Colouredman Pacific Gas - Are You Ready The Chi-Lites - (For God's Sake) Give More Power To The People Jackie lee - The Duck - Part 1 The Dynatones - The Fife Piper Jackie Wilson - Because Of You Dana Valery - This Is Love Real Shirley Lawson - One More Chance Jackie Wilson - Whispers (Getting Louder) Dusty Springfield - What's It Gonna Be Helen Shapiro - Tell Me What He Said The C.O.D.'s - I'm A Good Guy Roger Collins - She's Looking Good Rosco Robinson - That's Enough Al Green - Tired Of Being Alone Bette Swann - Make Me Yours Lynn Vernado - Wash And Wear Love Being first up has the advantage you don't have to worry about what others have already played, so it was a relaxed and soulful set with a few underplayed to spark some curiosity. It also meant I could totally relax into my dancing afterwards, which, I must say, the following DJs kept me doing. A big thank you to those who take their soul seriously and turned up. Pudsey last night was a veritable festival of top class quality Northern Soul tunes...every DJ set was, in my opinion, top b****y class..brilliant night..
