Welcome to The Soul Shack

This Month is the beginning of a new era at Soul Shack.  Last Month we said goodbye to our friend and co-promoiter Martin Smith but we are please to announce that we have secured the services of a Legend on the scene, Mr John Vincent.

The ethos the Soul Shack lives by will remain intact and hopefuly bring even more of the music we have forgotten, lost or just ignored over the years.  Interspersed with some of our favs we hope you will find it a place you will return to as many of our regulars do.

We are assisted at The Shack by Paul Cater who will be looking after the 'behind the scenes' stuff  (The technical side of things).  I just turn up, play a few records and then sod off home, without Paul and the like we would have no vessel to carry it in. 

This months Guest is our great friend and quality DJ :- NEV SHOOTER

If you have been around the scene you will know Nev and the quality he brings.  Looks like being another banging night in Alfrton at The Genesis Centre

Stunning night at the Shack on Saturday - a treat for the ears! Plenty in, records flowed nicely and a real happy atmosphere from start to finish.

Time to reflect on last nights Soul Shack.
Firstly all the niceties
Thanks to all the Staff at The Genesis Centre, Jo-an Westhead, Kath Smith, Susan Vincent, Sue Morris, Debs and Dave Askew and Jane Cutts for their sobriety and vigilance on the door. Martin Smith and John Vincent for their support and our special guest for the night Nev Shooter.
The night itself, well. It started off at a pace and never let up until we had to kick them out at 1 am. The mix of Music was awesome and this crowd that attends didn't let us down embracing it all and setting the floor alight from minute 1. John chucked in some obscure stuff near the end but they were up for the fight and gave it back in bucket loads, not end of night dancing to anything, they knew their stuff !!!
Nev was awesome and loved by all with them baying for more.
I know everyone talks their venues up but, 100% honestly, fabulous.
Eager for next months outing already with Daniel Irving as our guest. You want to hear different, only one place to be 1st Saturday in July.

Brilliant night at The Shack. So good to see the room so full, think this was possibly the busiest ever. Loved it, roll on next month.  T & P.x
