Wot a cracking few days , unbelievable really how people took to wot we are doing , from Julie n Steve , all the DJs , and everyone who came thro the doors , everybody got into the spirit of the occasion and thoroughly enjoyed themselves , creating a fantastic friendly atmosphere that made it a pleasure to be involved in , it was a massive generous gesture from Julie n Steve to allow us the money from one hours takings as a donation to our charity , and as father Dave has mentioned , to come away with £2k from the weekend is a fantastic result , so thanks again to everyone who came , who played , who danced and enjoyed the weekend and be assured that there will be more money going towards our fight against cancer over at York uni , !! Thanks again !!!

The first ever weekender organised by Charity Soul went down an absolute bomb. We could not not have asked any more from the 'soulies' who attended the Buck and , from the comments passed to me and the other CS members, is that they had a 'Bucking' good time. With other attractions around Whitby with numerous pubs offering Northern Soul music it gives everyone here at CS great pleasure when people express there appreciation of the music offered by the dj's. Cannot let  this fact go by without saying a big Thank You' to ALL  the who spun discs for us over the weekend, this includes my new best mate Jonah (silent H)

the 'pic' above says it all, when for one hour ALL bar takings were donated to Charity Soul, this along with a personal donation from Steve brings the figure when other credits are added to a 'smigen' over £2,000.0, with people like them and the rest of the donations from yourselves it restores my faith in mankind. All the soul memorabilia was either sold (no pun intended), raffled or auctioned (thank you DaveO the Tim Wannacott of Leeds). One or two 'minor' glitches during the three days which we will address for next weekender at the Buck In September. A further few of 'pics' on members albums to come @ the Buck including one of the only dj  who requires a ladder to see the decks and over the dj booth wall.
