Focused, solely on Mecca Memories on Friday, Colin presented a selection of the 60's and 70's sounds made big at the iconic North West venue but in his inimitable style. Not only does he play the records he made big at the time but he does it with enthusiasm and professionalism, which was appreciated by the great crowd that had made it to LOWTON on Friday night. Good to see soul fans from Morecambe, Stoke, Warrington, Blackpool, St Helens, Preston, Chorley, Manchester and as far as BOURNEMOUTH! joining us for a quality night out. Mussn't forget the other DJ's Rob, Kev and Bob who played top sets featuring some superb sounds, which included classic oldies, current floor fillers and a few surprise selections thrown in for good measure (as is always the case at Lowton) wil post some of their selections later. Just a few of the comments about Friday from Facebook "To be honest Colin Curtis was absolutely brilliant last night, he got it right with every track, you gotta get him on again soon , that was one of the very best nights that I've seen at Lowton everyone played great sets , it was a packer !" "The home of soul in the North West was back to it's best last night and rockin with style..Colin, did a Mecca tribute like only he knows how and packed the floor..." "Like going back 20 years I had a brilliant night - thank you xx" The next night is Friday October 14th, hope you can put it in your diary and joins for a TOP night out at the 'Home Of Soul'.....
