Back with more of the serious stuff for the next event in April, plenty for the connoisseurs! 2 Link to review

We are really pleased to announce we have raised £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support! It was a great night with a fantastic atmosphere. Our official start time was 8pm but we were already fairly busy by that time with approx 130 in attendance which is our busiest night yet! We played a mixture throughout the night starting off with some nice crossover and mid tempo stuff like The Exits-Under the street lamp, The Avalanches-Since I met you, Grover Mitchell-What hurts, Bonnie Herman-Hush don't cry then as we started to get busier we upped the tempo with some 70s Northern from Flame 'N' King-Ho happy day right through to 100mph Northern from Towanda Barnes-You don't mean it and the recent Secret Stash release of The Sharpees-Go on and laugh. Nick took over at 8.45 for his first spot playing some classics from the likes of Jackie Wilson, the flip of The Exits record (got to have money) mixed alongside a few 70s records, the floor was warming up nicely! We were back on at 9.30 and kicked things off with some Motown to which the floor was full as The Four Tops-Something about you started to play! We played to the floor mixing it up across the many sub genres of Soul! A few throughout the night from the 3 of us included Mongo Santamaria-We got Latin soul, The Isonics-Sugar, The Metros-Since I found my baby, Marvin Gaye-Come get to this, Harold Melvin-The love I lost, Flowers-For real, Soul Bros Inc-Pyramid. It really was across the board so something for everyone! There were some nice donations to the raffle and we were very grateful for all your kind generosity! Loads of great comments on FB so we are glad everyone had such a great night and we look forward to seeing you at our next 'regular' event in April! Thanks folks Mike 2 Link to review
