Sheffield Sunday Soul Sessions At The Mulberry Tavern

July's open-decks session brought us another cracking afternoon of superb soul music. Our thanks must go to Roy, Barry, Tony, Brett, Ian, Mark, Rob & Don for 4 hours of varied and totally excellent tunes. The turnout was fantastic, so those who persuaded me to continue with this event were bang on with their advice. Thank you everyone. For a variety of coincidental reasons, our guests in May played to an almost empty room. It seemed only fair to ask them back for our September bash when I'm sure they'll get the support they deserve. We welcome, again, Steve Mannion, Tony Smith & Alan Millington.

We will continue to run on the 2nd Sunday of the month, so our next Sheffield Sunday Soul Session will be on September 11th. Remember, starting at 2.00pm and ending at 8.00pm. We play an across the board mix of seriously soulful, rarer and underplayed, chilled tunes, all on original vinyl (no boots, modern repro's, 70s British reissues, CDs and all that lot). And, it's FREE ENTRY, so why not come along and enjoy an afternoon of great music, with great people and, maybe, a pint or two? Hope we'll see you there,
