BOOGALOO at the Polish Club NOTTINGHAM on

This event is now over

This Friday is BOOGALOO at the Polish a night of mod inspired music

8pm till 1am at the Polish Club 2, Sherwood Rise, Nottingham NG7 6JN £4.00 on the door

A big welcome from Mal awaits you and a night of varied and different music covering Mod, 60's beat, Blue eyed, Northern Soul, R&B, Popcorn, Jazz, Latin, Motown, Hammond, Psyche, Ska, 2-tone, Reggae, mod revival, french yeh yeh...... you get the picture.

This is NOT a top 100 Northern night, my fellow promoter Garry Archer and I deliver a largely underplayed mix of music for the first 2 hours, including the "Latin Quarter" - 15 minutes of Latin influenced music and "Beat that" 15 minutes of British beat.

We are proud to present our Special Guest DJ for this event, who is a great friend and a wonderful guy, Jeff "Soulman" James he will cover 10pm till 11 ish.

For the final part of the night we play better know tunes including classics from all the genres. This will include a tribute to the "Electric Gardens" that was on Glasshouse Street which many locals will remember.

We have a great venue, large wooden sprung dance floor, brilliant sound system and a friendly welcoming crowd, If you're after a night that's a bit different to the usual offerings you won't be disappointed. Come suited and booted or casual but don't forget the dancing shoes!
