Soul At The Park

Well are next event occurs on the 7th August.

Always a well attended event, we haven't the biggest dancefloor or the biggest room but the atmosphere is always bang on!

DJs on the day,(No particular order)

Tina & Sid - Underplayed 60ts and R&B with a bit of the Twisted Wheel.

First hour the listen and tap your feet session though you can dance early doors.

Andy Wade - 60s and 70ts across the board - lesser known 45s.

And a few classics to balance the pot.

Carole Anne McCarthy - Love carols tune’s!

Carols eclectic soul 45s always a surprise & something different in Carols’ sets!

Mark Bryant -Mark never fails to get you up -from classics to big tunes and everything in between an all-round DJ - Local to Lancaster too.

Garry Parr. Gaz loves all things 60ts and is highly underrated, A regular since inception another DJ who never fails to please. (and the shakiest hands ever)

Special Guest DJs this month are from The Morecambe Vinyl Players,

Gary Willis & Nigel Rothwell.

 Andy Wade & Tina Bould -wrapping up the night with classics from the 60ts to the noughties and the odd 50ts R&B!

Tina has to work till 4 so Gaz Par and "El Sid" doing early doors collectable and underplayed hour.

Garry and Nige from MVP's playing a set at 5-6 Always good to hear the multitude of 45s they can pull together.

I would like to welcome all our friends from far and wide, Soul folk coming from as far as London and Cornwall to meet up, enjoy the good music, beer, food and above all the people who make it intimate - all the soul people who attend.

Big screen in the room will be playing soul clips all day, some rare footage obtained of Morecambe Pier all niters back in the 80ts and some good footage of the 100 club and Stafford.
