Getting to and from Jersey was certainly interesting!! That said I have mixed feelings about the event. The people and the hotel were great but some of the music left me confused. Billed as Northern Soul I really struggle to see the relevance of "everlasting love" "night to remember" "this is it" need I go on. If these were played tongue in cheek for those in the know then shame the rest of us weren't in on the joke. I found the afternoon sessions seriously lacking in Northern and think the sessions should have been billed as RnB (and that's pushing the definition) and Ska. Disappointment aside it was great to see old friends, and in-between the faux renaissance sounds great to hear a few belters .

Well just got back from another great Jersey Weekender , I must thank all the Djs Yocky / Danny / Jools / Lawrence / Rob / Clive / Jim / Rex / Chris / and all the open box Djs that played on the Afternoon sessions , great tunes ,  Christine and Chris on the door and all the staff at the Mayfair Hotel.

And a big thanks to all the great people who attended despite the worst fog since god invented it !!!! and to put the icing on the cake the boat we go on with all the gear was delay for four hours due to a world war two bomb (a floating mine)  in Portsmouth Harbour , which they had to take out to sea and blow it up , so you can't say it wasn't an eventful weekend       See you all soon

I've just been sorting out transfers for Jersey , and noticed that you can still get a flight from Luton Airport with Easy jet for £28 out and only £8 back , fantastic so you still have time to book , we have a few rooms left , but what a price Jersey and back for under £40 , so go on treat yourself .

Always a great weekender this one, been 6/7 times now. It's a mini holiday for us, the Mayfair Hotel is central to St Helier.  Just a short walk to the shops. It's a good equipped hotel with everything to make your stay enjoyable. Nice cosy rooms, good food with waiter service, pool, gym, sauna,.three bars. Etc. And with a fantastic line up of Uk DJs playing the best of Northern & Motown and club soul. Come join the fun.
