Hi everyone and welcome to the third Banbury Soul Club event of 2017.

Banbury Soul Club's next promotion on Saturday 2nd September 2017 is a special charity event and will be a departure from our Northern Soul Oldies policy.

This promotion is to celebrate the musical heritage of Motown records.

This will be a charity night in aid of our local Banbury hospital, The Horton General.

As with lots of other cutbacks across the country this hospital is under threat of closure.

As we are all Banbury locals who have used this hospital for ourselves, our children, parents, friends and relatives we all agreed we need to support this local service in any way we can.

So there will be a sizable donation to the "Fighting Fund" if we have a successful night.

This event will be a 100% Motown night through to 1.00am Sunday morning.

Expect to hear the classics tunes we all grew up with but also some interesting obscurities, rarities and unissued tracks.

What we can guarantee is all tunes played will be for your enjoyment and have that danceability factor that was synonymous with the Motown sound, the Sound of Young America.

The resident DJ's Charlie, Steve, Tom and Gilko will keep the floor bouncing until the end of the night.

Please feel free to ask for requests of your favourite Motown  sounds.

And we will certainly try to oblige and play them.

But with such a musical catalogue I suspect we will run out of time rather than manage to play everything we would like too.

So please come along and support this worthy cause.

But more importantly enjoy the night listening and dancing to the memories created by the unique Motown Sound.

An upstairs ballroom with a sprung wooden floor and a raised stage.
A separate bar area which is fully stocked and at club prices.
Comfortable seating and also plenty of space for record dealers.
(No charge for Sales tables at our venue)

PLEASE NOTE - DUE TO H&S CONCERNS THE CLUB OWNERS HAVE INTRODUCED A TOTAL BAN ON THE USE OF TALC.
