Well, I've finally made the decision to retire from work. My last job ended in Norway last week and after a short trip to Trondheim for a long weekend, I made it back home on Monday afternoon.
Just getting my records ready for the Sink on Sunday. Really looking forward to DJing for the first time as a retiree. That sounded weird. I've picked up a few new records to play since August but will be bringing my usual mix of R&B, Soul / Northern, and a few for the Reggae fans.
The Sink has gone from strength to strength since we started back over a year ago now and the crowd are as friendly a bunch of people you'd ever hope to meet. I can't wait to get started.
If you've never been to the Sink before, you're missing a treat, it's a brilliant basement club with original decor from the 60s. Come to meet old friends, come to dance, or just listen to some tunes, just come for a day out in Liverpool, take in the sights, go have a meal, or enjoy a Real Ale or two in the local pubs before we open the doors to the Sink at 3pm.
So, hope to see you all, regular and new, this coming Sunday, 16th October, for another scintillating session of sounds from the sixties.
