with so many soulful events on every week now ,it can be difficult to where you lay your hat.however sunday was a no brainer for me & Mrs Dave. The wardrobe in Leeds was the only place imo to be,having d/j ed many times over the years and forever telling people that this  is a great 2 floor venue ,someone listened and have taken up the mantle to create in what will become Leeds top soul club for modern & northern soul music, supplied by some very leading and well established d/js.the venue is in a perfect location, parking behind the building ,bus station across the road,12min walk to railway station.lovely first floor spacious and well lit /stocked bar ,wooden dance area ,lovely seating ,dining area with a very extensive menu and great promotion on certain drinks.but most of all the soulies who turned up for this 2nd event had the place buzzing.modern across the board music upstairs ,very good sound system and of course the d/js who just get on with it and create the buzz.then we go downstairs to the club and enter the wardrobes jewel with its own stage, new dance floor ,bar ,plenty of seating areas ,own sound engineers ,nice lighting ,and the the quality d/js playing the best of northern that you could wish to hear anywhere in the uk.sunday afternoon /early evening spent in a great venue surrounded by soulies who  you just want to be with ,what more can you say.the next one is in Jan 2017 and i can hardly wait,it will be rammed.go see for your selves.

tara for now
