Queen of talc 4 February 5, 2017 Share this review What a fantastic nite me and Kirmo had, our first visit and well worth the trip......the venue was excellent, not tooo light, the floor was very good didn't need to use any talc but you could if needed. The music policy was spot on across the board, loved the profiles- take a giant step, Helen Shapiro-tell me what he said, nice to hear Hundred Pounds Of Pain a great version , haven't danced to' Purple haze 'for a long time. too many great tunes to mention. A great crowd of people who made us very welcome...and made some new friends....still buzzing thismorning....definatly be back as regulars...thanks to all the dj's see you all again soon....ktf......Wendy & Kirmo xx 1 Link to review
Kirmo 9 February 5, 2017 Share this review We found the Ha'penny to be an excellent venue with a fast laminate-type floor (put some talc down-mistake-had to mop it up with me towel!) Very friendly Yorks folk- thanks for the window sticker John! Personal favourite plays- Peggy March, Let's clean up the ghetto, Purple Haze, Line & Track, and my all time favourite 'ender The Drifter, which always reminds me of meeting the great man in the cafe at Prestatyn. The Halfpenny WMC is now on our calendar- many thanks for a great night. Kirmo & Wendy KTF. 1 Link to review
