Please notice that for December the date is Friday the 30th as we can never have the usual 2nd Friday due to Christmas parties at the venue !
Christmas means loving, giving, caring & happiness, with lots of party time so please come & join us at Route61 for some fab Northern Soul & Tamla Motown memories

What a brilliant way to dance off your excess Christmas poundage! I for one can't wait for this, I reckon there'll be some stunning tunes played, as usual. Great venue, proper sound system, lovely crowd - what more could you want?

It's a privilege to be the warm up man for these guys and i'm looking forward to hearing what Tom's got up his sleeve!

From the (Southside of the City), come along the A61 Penistone Rd. go past the (Sheffield Wednesday football stadium
At the 2nd set of traffic lights & junction of Carphone Warehouse / Sainsburys turn left, then sharp left ~ the rd. bends round as if going back on yourself then 2nd right 
(OR)
if coming from the (northside of the City) as if from Barnsley go down the A61
Now at Sainsburys / Carphone warehouse traffic lights turn right, then sharp left ~ the rd. bends round as if going back on yourself then 2nd right
into Niagara Rd.
keep on through the gate opening into car park go past the building to the 2nd entrance at the far end of the building not the first main entrance that is for the police members bar only,
There is more parking space just past the entrance to the club.
start time 8:00pm till 12:30am

Happy days at Route - everything clicked from start to finish. Really great to see so many people in, some first timers, from pretty far afield. I hope you all had a fab time, a nice build up to the New Year celebrations. As it was party time, we strayed slightly from Route's normal policy of 'something different' and threw down some proper well loved records for everyone. It was a real privilege for me to share a stage with Steve Fozzie Foster, Don Morris and Tom Wheelhouse. Following Tom's big guns with my modest box was a sobering experience! The 30 minute residents sets worked a treat, keeping us on our toes and the music fresh. Big thanks from me to everyone who came out last night, and to all who supported Route over the past year. Biggest thanks and respect go to Fozzie, who makes it happen every month, through thick and thin, not forgetting our Lisa, who has the thankless task of 'doing the door' ha ha. Hopefully see you back on the 13th when Dean Fox will be making us all sweat on the dance floor!

Well Guys Stu has said how it was & it really was a FAB night from start to the end which of course i did my usual extra 15 + minutes over time !

It just leaves me now to thank our guest DJ Tom Wheelhouse for such a brilliant set over his 60 mins.

Also thank you to my Resident DJs Stu "topcat" Teece & Don "mopsey" Morris ok & me Steve "fozzie" Foster. the 3 of us played a real great cross section of classics, floor fillers & some underplayed greats.

Thank you to my Daughter Lisa for taking care of the door xxx

Biggest thanks go to the people from near & far our regulars & some new faces who all came along & had a real good time ! 

Hope everyone got home safe without any problems
