We are now well into our 9th year here at Caliente in Peterborough - how time flies!

The next Soul night at “Club Caliente” in Peterborough will be on Friday 3rd January and we are pleased to offer this night again as FREE entry, so if you are reading this and haven’t  been to Caliente before then do come along and check it out - what have you got to loose!? - all we ask is that you come with open ears and an open mind – we are not playing top 500 all night - although you will hear a couple of ‘sensible quality oldies' here and there.

This time we have resident DJ’s Carl Fortnum, Steve Jay and Mick Beeby - who is now by increasing popular demand playing some quality tunes later on as the night unfolds plus Russ and I.

Russ and I usually kick the night off to warm things up, starting with a few new purchases/trades (which are in the main - 6t’s R&B plus some forgotten Northern) before we hand over to the guys who will play the rest of the night right across the board.

Music policy: - we will all be playing a quality mix of Northern Soul from the 60’s through the 70’s/80’s and beyond, 6ts Soul + R&B, Crossover etc. - these will all be QUALITY tunes all played off ORIGINAL VINYL.

well looking forward to the next instalement of the caliante  as we missed the xmas one due to mrs.p  having a op so two birthdays to celebrate this month  Mrs.p's and young John Alderidge   so expect cake  always a great night quality ,quality music great friendly atmosphere  sounds completely across the board from 60;s rareties and oldies ,crossover ,modern and r&b  and its free what more could you ask for

Good to see the Birthdays keep on coming - I need to pull out those elasticated trousers again with all this cake!

Will be there with a serviette to tuck into my shirt and looking forward to a bit of chocolate sponge....

and a serving of good tunes.   Who says you cant have your cake and eat it !!!! you can at the Caliante

Not going to be able to make it this time. Not sure either if my usual travel partners (Albert & Helen) are going. Missing you all already

May borrow that bottle of milk excuse in the future Gilly!!!

Funny that, whilst clearing up last night - found several cartons of milk left under chairs!
