Now into our 9th year at the same venue here in Peterborough - how time flies!

We are pleased to offer this night again as FREE entry, so if you are reading this and haven’t  been to Caliente before then do come along and check it out - what have you got to loose!? - all we ask is that you come with open ears and an open mind – we are not playing top 500 all night - although you will hear a few ‘sensible quality oldies' here and there.

This time we have resident DJ’s Carl Fortnum, Steve Jay and Mick Beeby - who is now by increasing popular demand playing some quality tunes later on as the night unfolds plus Russ and I. Special guests also include Steve Phyllis and Brett (not so young anymore) Smith who have both entertained us before at Caliente with some great records from their collections.

Russ and I usually kick the night off to warm things up, starting with a few new purchases/trades (which are in the main - 6t’s R&B plus some forgotten Northern) before we hand over to the guys playing right across the board.

We will also be raising a glass to our dear friend Barry North (known to most of us as "Big Baz") who recently passed away - RIP Baz.

I also suspect there are a couple of birthdays being celebrated so expect some cake!

Music policy: - we will all be playing a quality mix of Northern Soul from the 60’s through the 70’s/80’s and beyond, 6ts Soul + R&B, Crossover etc. - these will all be QUALITY tunes all played off ORIGINAL VINYL.

Really looking forward to yet another top night of quality soul across the board from rare and underplayed 60's through to 70's ,crossover and modern with a few choice oldies thrown in , always a good night , and there's birthdays a plenty with lots of cake, Looking forward to spinning a few and  double decking with Brett Smith . We will also be playing tributes to Caliante regular Big Baz  .
