Well at least it gave me the opportunity to come here as this one usually clashes with something else and I've heard good things about it - a friend never misses it although he wasn't here tonight! Nice venue, big car park, reasonably sized dancefloor - sprung wood, good seating all round as well. The only downside was long queues at the bar for the start of the night, but to be fair it was packed. World Champion Northern Soul dancer Simon Walsgrove was also present although the crowded floor earlier on didn't leave him with a lot of space to do his thing. No surprises in terms of DJ's Little Scotty always knows how to read the floor and delivered an excellent set, Gary Donnelly from Australia was also impressive - Lenis Guess, Just Ask Me being a particular highlight - loved it and Martin Robinson was also top notch. Did a sketch and my wife made me use a red pen, think it looks OK, although I usually stick to greys. I rarely give 5 stars - I've noticed most reviews are by the promoters of the events who inevitably give 5 stars to everything. I am trying to be objective. 2 Link to review
