About The Event

So, as we move further into 2017 and as part of the 21st Anniversary year celebrations of soul at LOWTON CIVIC HALL, we bring you a series of special events. Simply entitled; LEGENDS, these nights showcase the music from some of the clubs that shaped our scene, played by the original DJ’s from those clubs. The special guests will be supported by DJ’s who have kept the flag flying at LOWTON over the years and featuring some of the great music that have helped LOWTON stake its own place on the scene.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A TWO ROOM EVENT WITH ROBBO, SIMON INGHAM PLUS GUESTS PLAYING A VARIED SELECTION OF TUNES FROM THE 'CRATES'...ADVICE IS EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!

We had a great night in Room 2 at the Lowton Anniversary - hats off to Baz for giving it a go and re-vitalising the back room to give you all a choice of something a bit different to sample, we're looking forward to getting it going this Friday and over the coming months.

We're aiming to give those rare, underplayed and overlooked tunes some air time alongside a mix of anything that gives the square wooden thing some attention, so something for everyone :thumbup: 

How about a request list?............if we've got it we'll do our best to make sure it's played.

Looks like stompers are the order of the day from Mr.E tomorrow... From DAVE EVISON... So who remembers that OTHER room at Wigan Casino?.... Mr M's lasted 7 of the 8 years that the Casino exsisted... and with it's own unique atmosphere, it was responsible for reactivating literally thousands of great Northern Soul sounds!
This Friday 12th May to tie in with a major THREE x CD Mr M's BOX SET due for Sept release, I'm honored to be able to represent that great and much revered venue once again at LOWTON CIVIC HALL....somewhere I haven't attended for nearly ten years and I'm really looking forward to seeing some (very!) old faces!! It'll be (mainly!) non-stop 100mph memories and classics from the Wheel,Catacombs,Torch and early Casino....and by God it's gonna sort the men out from the boys....if they've still got the energy!!! lol

Don't forget all that will be severed up in a sandwich of tunes from the LOWTON regulars Kev, Bob, Rob and Baz and if that's not enough dessert is available in the Back Room with Robbo, Simon, Paul and Matt spining a healthy selection of Rare and Underplayed tunage.

Main room starts at 8pm, back room at 9pm....
