About The Event

We are back for the third time on May the 27th with the main event being on Sunday  the 28th  when over 1,000 soulies will dance on the Comedy Carpet  in aid of Cancer Research UK

We have grown from being a dance event on the Comedy Carpet 2015 to being an all dayer and nighter in 2016 since Yates invited us to host our After Party in  their pub which has  large wooden floors. Now with the emergence of Soul Suite and The Litten Tree we have grown in to becoming the Carpet weekender.    We have raised collectively in 2015 and 2016 a total of £17,000 and hope to raise a total of £30,000 by 2020.

Looks like the most pointless thing ever to jump on the Northern Soul bandwagon.

Is it pointless to raise money for charity?

There's thousands of ways to raise money for charity that don't involve making a mockery of the scene.

I'm not debating the quality of the event,  just your choice of words. I'm sure the cancer charity it was in aid of think it was anything but pointless.

The quality of the event was my point. Suprised it could have been read to be a knock of Cancer Research. But at least I know what you meant now.
