The Black Cat Soul Club At Low Moor Club

Wow! An unexpected cracker night considering so many events happening last night too. Thanks to all the DJs for playng some fantastic tunes & a special thanks to Sam & Andy, was great to meet you both & share what the Black Cat has to offer. Numbers were slightly lower on previous months but as Sue H rightly put it, where would we fit all the regulars if they were here as well!

I am sad to hear Carole Smith that your Black Cat experience was not up to our high expectations that we have every month & can assure you the comments made were not meant in any serious way & your constructive point about paying in will indeed be sorted for next time. I hope you get to read this & Team Black does hope that you would give us another try 'on us' in the future

Keep on keeping on everyone & a big thanks to those that ended their night with us coming from other places to finish off the Black Cat way!

5 stars every time from me  - wish I could give more! Great atmosphere - fab company & cracking music. Always a very warm welcome from both the door staff & bar staff, who cope very well with a very busy bar. Numbers last night were a tad down on the last few months, but that was expected, as so many of the regulars were at another venue last night. Some are so loyal to the Black Cat that they just couldn't resist calling in at the end of the night, when the band they had been to see had finished for the night! Well done to all the DJs - guests Sam Evans & Andy Baskett; Andy Carling; Phil Beddows & last - but by no means least - resident Mick Elsworth for some of the BEST music on the soul scene. Thanks too to Paul Mitchell for hosting such a cracking event - roll on next month. xx

My son and I visited this place for the first time last night.We eventually found the place and headed upstairs.We could not find who to pay as there was no sign on any desk or the price.My son headed to the bar to ask and this guy said are you being sneaky you need to pay ? We eventually saw a money box this woman was guarding on her table so presumed you paid there.I attempted to pay and she said sarcastically you are having  to pay for him too!! We came to enjoy ourselves not to  be intimidated.  The music was good only about 100 people  but not enough people dancing on the dance floor.
