Absolutely brilliant night!! The weather was dire round our way as we set off but soon cleared on M56, hats off to Tony for getting us there and back safely. I was really pleased to see a good turn out, (wasn't expecting as many) the music was superb all night. Fantastic spots from everyone but have to agree with everyone about Roger's sets. (AWESOME) he played some LP tracks in his first set a couple off the New Sounds LP, his last set was stuff he used to play at The Wilton right up my Street, (bloody love Roger) Also have to mention Simon (save the day) Ingham, what a fantastic surprise to see the door burst open about 11.30 and him barging through the door with 2 record boxes. (What a hero) and played some great records also. Thanks Phil, Joan & Tony for going ahead, can't wait for the next one.

Have to have my tuppenth worth :) ...well you did it again. Top night, top tunes, top sound system and top top people! What a bloody great turn out too despite the scary weather. Just goes to show all us regulars and new people alike don't want to miss Grumpy whatever the heavens throw at us! Always been something special about the Grumpy Brand, hit me on my first visit all those years ago now. Keep it up and I can't wait until the next one (but you already knew that)

Fantastic night  Guyz , congratulations for nailing again , cheers Phil , Joan , Ian & Gilly for a great time & laugh in witherspoons in the afternoon , glad you got rid of the fruit bat Mr T ! Pmsl 😂

Great sets from all the Djs , Roger Banks was Fantastic & big thumbs up to Simon Ingham absolutely brilliant

Music was top notch from the start & as always I come away with loads of new wants :shhh: don't tell the wife ! And yes Joan I did remember the turnarounds on Sunday even tho I couldn't remember on the night after you told me about three times :dash2:

Sorry can't make the next two due to other commitments , think you should hire a video camera & put the nights on dvd for reminiscing when we're old & decrepid :hypo:

I know that this may be a bit hasty but roll on 2019 , I love a bit of Grumpyness :hatsoff2:

I was looking forward to a great night a Grumpy Soul, especially having been unable to attend the event in the new venue yet.......and I'm happy to say I wasn't disappointed, the venue and sound system were spot on guys

As ever the mix and quality of music was right up there, if you want something a bit different but still a great mix of any kind of class tunes Grumpy is the place to be.

It was just a shame that the inclement conditions kept some of the usual suspects (including Dave & Carl) away (you too Louise) but a great big UP to those who braved the ever increasing blizzards and made it.

I'll also have to jump on the Roger Banks band wagon - his enthusiasm is contagious and he rolled back the years to drag out a few of the class tunes you don't hear so much nowadays from venues such as the Hyde Botanical - Robert Parker, I Caught You In A Lie, hit me straight between the eyes!

See you all there for the summer rave

I can only echo what Phil said, what a brilliant, hardy and loyal bunch you all are. Amazing turn out in what, for a lot of you, were truly awful conditions. Have to say we were feeling slightly smug all day as the weather in Deeside was bright and sunny and no snow. A little ahem different on the way back however so glad everyone got home ok.

Big thanks to Roger who was more than happy to do rotating sets all night with me and Pip, Simon who rallied to our last minute emergency call to arms to help out - both were simply awesome - and of course to all you guys who travel from all over and never cease to be amazing. Thank you x

See you all in July for the anniversary when we hope it will be cracking the flags

The 5 stars are for each and every one of the 97 souls who made such an effort despite the dreadful weather / forecast and who ensured that last night was well worth going ahead with. People journeyed from Scotland, Bristol and pretty much everywhere else it seems; unbelievable :hatsoff2:

We finally got Rodger on at Grumpy and he didn't disappoint with his usual eclectic mix of high class tunes spun over several sets during the night, all accompanied by knowledge and enthusiasm that you'll struggle to surpass anywhere. Always a pleasure to see you mate (and the lovely Mrs B of course).

Despite their best efforts, a  couple of the residents couldn't make it for weather-related reasons. Simon Ingham kindly stepped-up at the 11th hour (literally). Great lad, great records; thanks so much mate! Same goes for the redoubtable Bob the Butcher who can never do enough to help you out. Good un!

So, a massive thanks once again to everyone who made it worthwhile. Hope you all got home safely and we look forward to doing it all again in July, with knobs on  (Weather permitting of course)

Cheers
