Altrincham Soul Clubannual Charity Night

What a night! It was packed, nice to see a few newbies in enjoying themselves, DJs kept the floor busy, bring on April.😀😀😀

Well, what a turnout, we had soul folks all the way from Morcambe, the Macmillan Wobbley Walkers came to support us on our charity night and were first on the dance floor enjoying themselves, we had a real mix from soul connoisseurs to local people out to support the event, we managed to get a few obscure and underplayed tunes in, but kept the dance floor happy with totally across the board from Motown to Modern with loads of Northern classics in there as well, we tried to play something for everyone hope we played something for you, thanks for coming see you in April!

Good Morning folks.

Absolutely made up with the turn out we had last night.

Our first guest arrived at 7 whilst we were setting up, shortly after a few more turned up, then a few more...so on and so on! It was getting busy at 7.45 and we didn’t officially start until 8! No pressure eh! 

As usual, a few underplayed and ‘back of the box’ type tunes early doors then Nick came on for his first set of the night and had the Macmillan guests up dancing! It was great for them to come along and see what we do at a Northern Soul night. They were on the dance floor all night so I hope they enjoyed it as much as we did! Thanks for coming along, we really love putting the annual charity night on and doing our bit!

In true Altrincham fashion we played right across the board all night covering all genres so I hope there was something for everyone! The dance floor was full all night right until the end, apologies that the extra seating and tables had to eat into the dance floor space but we hadn’t realised we were going to get 120+ in 😵

I would just like to thank you all for your continued support, the girls on the door, the staff at The LMRCA, the folks from Macmillan and Nick McKinnon & Mark Taylor. Especially my Dad Mark who has really had a busy few weeks getting everything sorted but we got there!
