glynr 12 March 12, 2018 Share this review Many Thanks to all who came to Newnham Soul Club's 1st event of the year at Cinderford Miners Welfare Hall.You all managed to raise a total of £ 515. £315 will go to Bowel cancer and £ 200 to the hall. Special thanks to Kevin Higham who made up some CD's that were sold on the night. Thanks to all the DJ's who gave their time for free and all those who traveled great distances to support the event. Great to meet up with old friends and new. Loved the cross section of music from the other dj's, something for everyone. This event never fails to deliver, with a reasonably priced bar and top sound system, also the crowd are always well into the music which is great to see, welcoming underplayed and well known tunes all on original vinyl, which I believe always makes for a great time. If you haven't made it over to this event, then I urge you to do so as you will not be disappointed. Another major plus is that it is a charity event, which goes to a great cause- keep up the great work all involved (Lorry, Glyn, Jon, Mark , Mazz etc).
