Charity Soul @ the Buck Inn

Event Information

Thank's to the kind invitation from Steve and Julie Widdowfield of the Buck Inn Charity Soul dj's and Guests will be playing some of the best  'Across The Board' soul music over this weekend. This is undoubtedly the biggest and best FREE event of the Northern Soul weekend. All the participants helping in this event, dj's, merchandise helpers and raffle collectors do so with NO monetary rewards for the time, effort and person expenditure incrued

If you want a good all round experience of some of the best, well respected and knowledgeable dj's on the soul scene then the Buck Inn is the only place to be

We will have our soul memorabilia stand on display and hope to hold an auction of outstanding soul items ( Signed Edwin Starr vinyl 45 in 2017) during the weekend

All we ask is if you are contemplating dropping in to the 'Buck' for some 'Bucking good music' and a 'Bucking good time' then a donation to our Prostate Cancer charity would be most appreciated

What a fantastic weekend at The Buck Inn as part of the Soul Weekender. Weather, music , people , craic of the highest order. Must give a big rap to the bar staff at the Buck who did a brilliant job over the 3 days especially during 'that' match. To the many, many people who rocked up to support us a big big thank you, but got to mention the Jersey Boys who again graced us with their presence and brilliant dancing, especially when Jonty played his reggae and ska spot, brought the house down. In mentioning Jonty it's worth noting that him and ALL the djs played a varied ATB set of music to appeal to all tastes so to these guys your the tops.

With regard to donations made AGAIN the management at the Buck did us proud with bar taking between 14:00 and 15:00 being donated to Charity Soul. A special mention to Terry Kneeshaw, Soul artist extraordinary, who donated a shed load of prints to sell for our Charity which was above and beyond our expectations and lastly to all the soulies who ventured in to the Buck, THANK YOU, we're(me) still totting up the monies made in donations but it looks in excess of £2,000.00 we will post the actual sum when I cam recharge my batteries
