Eggborough Soul Club Dn14 Ouz

The event went hot on SS long before the doors opened at Eggborough last night and the night was cooking, hotter than hot. Dean Fox playing from the heart with an interesting mix of up tempo tunes followed Richards warm up spot. The floor had been busy enough prior to my set which included six requests that I had picked up before I even got to the venue. I hopefully fulfilled the remit for the night and as well as the requests I included four or five underplayed tunes. The dance crowd who obviously put their trust in me continued to show support all through the spot and stayed faithful up to the last record I played, not only for my spot but followed through and showed great respect and continued support for Steve Lawson as he kept the old school dance tracks flowing for the whole of his spot.

It needs to be said that Richard and Julie work their butts off behind the scenes to make this venue work for as many people as possible and should be applauded for their continued commitment to both venues.

Great night. Lovely to be amongst so many like minded people. Fantastic atmosphere last night.
