TOTALLY STORMING night again at The Walkley.

Firstly have to say that Dave Brenton has put a lot of work into getting the sound system right.Last night it sounded fantastic and the room was filled with a perfect loud and clear Northern Noise.

The place was rammed again creating a great atmosphere and buzz just how it should be.It was a great Thrill to DJ and look down on some Brilliant Dancers and a room full of Happy Soulies.

Music wise it took some beating with a wide range of Quality Northern Soul Oldies all on Original labels. There cant be many Soul nights left these days that Deliver what was on show last night.

Paul's early spot gives you some great soulful tunes.Lorraine then brings out the Dancers with a top ear for forgotten oldies.Dave Brenton ends the night on a high pulling out the classic dancers and sending the crowd home buzzing.

EXCELLENT choice of guest DJ with Fred Benson.Fred is an in demand DJ these days and its  easy to see why.Top big ticket records one after the other entertained us with a well crafted set,

FOR ME Mr Chris Brooke Smashed it last night.A Top class Soul Man and Quality DJ.Not wanting to embarrass him but he is right up there with my Top 5 DJs of all time and over the years ive seen most of the big names.Sorry Chris

The future is looking bright here The Gas Club Flame is on full burn.Hope to see you all next month

PS Not on facebook so if any of the guys got any good shots of me as hard as it is LOL please post em to me on here via PM

I cant believe that this venue wasn't discovered sooner.

Thanks for an excellent night.

WoW!   well what a fantastic night at the Walkley I think Patto has said it all.  A massive thank you to everyone that comes to support us every month, the dancefloor was kept busy all night not surprising with the great tunes that were being played. Well done to Fred for a brilliant spot along with all the resident dj's who played some cracking tunes.  Thanks to Anita on the door. See you all next month for another night of Northern Soul.   X

Well what a second night at our new home, managed to get the sound system spot on. The music from all djs was outstanding and for those who attended said how much they enjoyed it. Fred Benson played to a packed floor and said he loved the place. ( Fred has put up his playlist from last night on soul source playlist so have a butchers to what we listened to. We do appreciate the support and we will put on for next month a free raffle like we did before. A big thanks to all that came and for Anita for looking after the door. Well done to all, see you on 26th May for you to enjoy the bank holiday weekend. Cheers Dave
