About The Event

Summer's here at last so join Scotters, Gouch and guests at The Stanwick Hotel in Northants for a main course of all things Soulful, with a side of Gospel & Reggae to help stretch out these longer weekends.

Free in. Top sound system inside the venue, opens out onto patio for music outside too if the weather's decent.

Just the three dates over this summer...two Sunday evenings from 7pm (24th June & 29th July) + a lazy Summer Sunday dayer from 2pm (2nd Sept).

Pleased to update that Sid Clayton and Brothers Dean & Jason Lockwood will be sharing their soul choices with us at this first event of 2018!

So here we are...longest day / week of summer here (already?!), World cup firmly underway and hopefully some long, lazy weekends & holidays to look forward to.

Anyone who fancies soaking up some laid back soul, gospel & a dash reggae to wind down after the next England game this Sunday...we'll be here at The Stanwick hotel from 7pm, continuing on from where we left off with The Sunday Soul Sessions over the last  few years... decks etc set up inside the main room with doors open onto patio & seating outside.

Same music policy as before covering all things soulful from over the last 50 years, some choice new releases too, cheap as chips sounds to rarer sides.

Plenty of parking & free in. Some great local collectors lined up for this one (Sid Clayton and Brothers Dean & Jason Lockwood), also looking forward to seeing and hearing some different guests at the next one end of July.

Quick mention about the special one-off dayer on Sunday 2nd Sept...DJs / collectors confirmed so far for the dayer include Mark Merry, Steve Jay, Len Dopson, Dave Halsall and a few more to be confirmed! Anyway I'll update that under the separate event over the next week or two, but for now we'll enjoy the first one this Sunday and hope to see you there.

Cheers!

Ah yes; the brothers Lockwood two of the assassins on the scene who quietly go about the business of hoovering up all manner of quality soul tunes, both have serious collections and Sid who's been around for so long now we have to constantly tell him that the sound system doesn't play 78's.

See you there
