Echo really what everyone has said, fantastic weekender (unequalled in my opinion), great to meet up with lots of friends and of course to be asked back to play my records. I pondered long and hard as to what to play this year especially after the death of Simon Cuerdon. Twenty years I have known Simon, we went to the same masonic lodge, same scooter clubs and we went to the same all-nighters together. My last all-nighter with Simon was in March at Swinton in Manchester for Simon's charity Blesma. The set I played on Saturday night in the market place was more or less the same set I played that night, although an all-nighter set and aimed at a specific audience I thought it would be fitting to play it out at Whitby as myself and Simon would come to Whitby in the early days for the Saturday all-nighters. Thanks to everyone for the kind comments and to Graham for the sketch.

Hard to believe it's been a week already ....

Just to support the above comments and to mention in addition Soul Sam and Phil Kingswood, whose sets in both the modern room and the market place were imaginative and (for me at least) expensive. In the main room particularly enjoyed the sets by Steve Luigi, Ginger Taylor, John Barker, Ozz and Kev. Unfair perhaps to single out only some djs when it's clear all of them love their soul music and love sharing it. Also, the sound systems did an excellent job, particularly in the market place. Well done to the organisers, the spinners, the traders and the punters for helping to make it all such an enjoyable weekend.

Tickets already bagged for next year. 51 weeks to go ...

Enjoyed playing here immensely as always, representing the legendary 'Leeds Central'.
Had the honour of gracing the decks after my hero 'Soul Sam', sharing the stage with him during his set, and watching him play his super rare tunes (notepad at the ready).
My full Whitby Set is on Mixcloud if you fancy a listen?
massive thanks to all of the organisers of this excellent event.
